Blue Prism 6.6

Blue Prism 6.6

Release notes

Blue Prism version 6.6 features Data Gateway enhancements that allow for more data flexibility, FIPS compliance for increased security, and new installers for free on-premise trials.
Building on the success of Blue Prism’s connected-RPA, you can now more easily manage how much data you generate with Blue Prism and how to best maintain the data, all whilst keeping your information even more secure.
We are moving the platform to the next level with a variety of new features:
  • Data Gateways re-attempt – When Data Gateways are unable to send data to an endpoint, this is recorded in a file to be resent when the endpoint becomes available. This ensures that data is retained in the event of an endpoint becoming unexpectedly unavailable.
  • Ability to send work queue analysis snapshots – This feature allows you to send your work queue snapshot data to external endpoints alongside session logs, published dashboards and custom object data. This increases the amount of data that can be sent out of Blue Prism to be used in external reporting tools and/or data storage systems.
  • Database maintenance and archiving improvements - Improvements have been made to various parts of the session log archiving feature. The mechanism that transfers data between server and client has been changed to split large data packets, resulting in improved efficiency. The improvements made in these areas will reduce the amount of information stored within the Blue Prism database and will allow you to maintain your databases more effectively.
FIPS compliance for increased security: To allow our product to be used by organizations that require or want to deploy according to FIPS standards, we updated Blue Prism to work in an environment that enforces FIPS compliance.
FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) are a set of standards that describe document processing, encryption algorithms and other information technology standards for use within non-military government agencies and by government contractors and vendors who work with US state and government agencies.
Trial installers: In order to make the Blue Prism experience easier and faster, v6.6 includes a new installer specifically for our new on-premise trials. A database setup wizard and simplified licensing along with a Getting Started Tour make the first-time user experience easier than ever. Sign up for a free 30-day trial of Blue Prism via the Digital Exchange at https://digitalexchange.blueprism.com.
